China was believed to be the first to make porcelain.
Porcelain is a ceramic material which is created by heating raw materials. Usually clay is molded to form a figure of an object you desire. The figure is placed in a kiln and heated to 1,200 C or 2,192 F. The strength of the porcelain figure is created from the high temperatures during the heating process. Porcelain does not need glazing. Porcelain is glazed strictly for decorations and to prevent the item from being easily scratched or stained. We use porcelain for many things in our everyday life. For example, tea sets teapots, china, dinnerware, decorative china and decorative dinnerware, etc.
